Hiatus!

Haiii.....kangen kah sama diriku? The problem of the lifelessness of this blog is because I haven't been cooking for quite sometimes! Bukan karena kurang duit nggak bisa beli bahan-bahan, tapi karena Jakarta amat sangat panas yang menyebabkan kurangnya oksigen di dapur, plus kurangnya waktu untuk berkutat di dapurku....I promise I will bake more and update more...

Masalahnya....I've been away too...whether it's official or pleasure only but it made me lack of time in baking! And my dream of becoming pastry chef is slowly drowning away since I failed to obtain the scholarship at Humber....oh wait...didn't i tell you that I was accepted at Humber?

Anyway, if you want to know what's happening with me, check out my other blog! ^ ^

My beloved Kue Sus

Music(man) Chocolate Mould

Wuiii, jd berpikiran pengen bawa cupcakes untuk anak2...dan berhubung tema OHI is always about Leehom and Music, all the cupcakes will be decorated with the Blueberry and Strawberry Chocolates in shapes of violin and table clef....

Aren't they pretty????

Strawberry Pavlova

Akhirnya bikin Australian Dessert lagi setelah kemaren ini bikin Lamington....kirain buatnya susah....tp ternyata gampang looo....cuma putih telor dikocok ampe putih mulus....panggang! Hmmm.....luarnya crispy, dalemnya marshmallow-y....aisssh....di top ama whipped cream and strawberry. Sweet and tangy at the same time...

Bawa sebagian ke kantor and sooo happy because the girls loved it....well, satu resep lagi yang bisa dijadiin unggulan...hehehe.....cuma gw rada serem aja berhubung manisnya sampe ke ubun2...

Baking during my day off...^ ^

I mostly spend my weekends or day off with baking cakes, cookies, etc...and since I took 2 days off work since yesterday, I did quite a few baking today. I did the famous Cream Cheese Slice (everyone always goes head over heels with this treat!) and my first strike on Blueberry Cheesecake).

Dukkboki - First Try

Dukkboki is my fav Korean's snack and I always order this if I go to Han Gang Restaurant coz they make the best Dukkboki in Jakarta that I know. I love this dish and I am tempted to try cooking it. I tried this months ago...hahaha, only had time and remembered to share this with you all!

Getting the ingredients is so much pain coz I had to travel to Serpong to actually shop in Korean Supermarket. They don't have such traditional Korean ingredients in Jakarta, especially the fresh Dukkbokki. I won't say that my first try is successful coz I think it needs a lot of improvement in flavour, but for the first try....it's not bad!!!

Crab Sticks Fried

I found this idea over on internet while I was browsing the other day and I thought why don't I give it a try? Anyway, it's soo easy to make and it definitely will be one of my fav snacks!
Try it yourself! You can't fail over this!

- thaw the frozen crabsticks -

- peel them into layers which is my favourite part to do -

- Voila! This is how it looks after fried...so yummy!!! -

Sample Cupcakes!

A girl asked me whether I could give her some sample cupcakes. She intended to order some cupcakes for her kid's birthday. I said yes coz even though it's not paid and it's only a sample, I had lots of fun decorating it....I gave her different kinds of decoration: coffee buttercream (which I love the smell of it), strawberry buttercream (my favourite), and the old style Fondant! Hope that she likes it....

PS: I don't know why but I love making the baby shoes....hahha....

Cupcakes for Indira

Rini ordered 24 pcs cupcakes for her daughter, Indira's Birthday....and here it is....I think it's one of my masterpiece so far (hahaha...quoted from my other half)...Glad that she likes them...

Happy birthday, Indira!

Birthday Bash!

Mum and Dad - at breakfast

Returned from Bandung on 8 March and then headed to Gourmet World - Kemang for my birthday dinner....enjoy the gourmet food....yay!

-mushroom soup-

- my meal: sloppy joe burger ( mixture of bacon, onions, and mozarella cheese) served with fries-

- Yuda's meal: broiled beef stuffed with mushroom served with baked potato-

- Mum's meal: Gordon Bleu Chicken served with baby potatoes -

- Dad's meal: BBQ Ribs (Dad's meal came last that we forgot to take picture once the food arrived coz we were too infused with our own food and Dad being so hungry dug the food right in hahahaah) -

We then headed home to celebrate my 28th (yaiks) birthday:

- please look at the cake, not my cleavage -

- I got too many wishes that I actually re-lit the candle -

Anyway, the birthday was really fun surrounded by the people I love the most in this world...
My wish is still the same: GOING BACK TO TORONTO...and nothing else matters....

Dear God,
Take me back to Toronto....in any way You could take me there....
Amen....
